About the defense giving Goff disguised looks in the practices where he struggled. That gives me a lot of confidence not only that Jared's coming along, but that they're actively preparing him and teaching him the right way to anticipate what he's going to see on game day.

I'm so high on McVay's hire right now that I'll say even if Goff doesn't work out this offense is going to build year to year and improve. McVay will find another QB and get that position rolling regardless. Of course I don't think it will come to that, either. I think in a couple weeks it's going to be clear that we have QB covered with Goff. And a lot of that confidence is due to McVay.
