How did "reporter" even get this gig? Total nonsense. McVay has so much to worry about, I'm sure AD isn't in his mind. The D looked great without him. If we give up 10 points a game we'll win them all. Of course, we would expect the D to be even better with AD, but it's a non-story right now. Here's why...First of all every single item I've ever read about this cat describes him as a very hard worker. He doesn't need to lift weights with others. Our need D will use him in the same role as he is used to. So missing reps in practice games shouldn't hurt him. This hold out is very stupid and greedy and hurts his appeal with fans. He has a contract. He needs to show up for work. It's that simple. But, this idea that the HC is going to implode because one of his star D players isn't practicing is ridiculous. McVay is concentrating on building his offense. The Rams don't have issues on D or ST. He has said Bones and his D.C. have his back. I'm sure McVay would love to stop answering questions about the hold out.
This idea that the Rams should pay him 20 million a year when they don't have to is insanity. He is under contract. They could extend him and reward him for his good past play, but don't have to do so. They never should've publicly stated that they would renogotiate. To me that's the only mistake. Time to put a lid on it. No more questions answered on the topic. If/when AD honors his contract by showing up to work, we'll discuss his play but not his contract. Case closed.
