I'm guessing LaFleur is pretty much the only coach on the offensive side of the ball that could get McVay's attention and convince him to make adjustments if bad trends begin to develop.
I figure Kromer too. Kromer was the run game coordinator in Buffalo along with being the OL coach, and the last 2 years the Bills were first in rushing. Kromer has also been a coordinator. He worked with WCO guys in Bufflao and of course with Payton in New Orleans. You gotta figure he has some ideas too.
...
Shady McCoy.
The Eagles were 1st in rushing too when Shady was running for them....
So methinks it has more to do with Shady than Kromer.
Let Kromer get the line together. That's where we need to see the most improvement IMO.
You're probably right about McCoy but again, Kromer is an old hand who worked under Payton and was then a coordinator in his own right in Chicago. So he has some stuff under the hood. I would imagine he is a good contributor to overall offensive thinking and a good sounding board for McVay. That was said in response to the idea that only LaFleur could get McVay to listen to critical advice. I don't think McVay is that higher up in his mind and I don't think he would ignore Kromer on issues regarding the offense in general, not just the OL.
