Goff and Rams deserve NO respect. Together they looked like a Road Runner and Coyote cartoon last year. The Rams have been losers for so many years it's hard to remember when they were winners.
So why should they get respect? What have they accomplished? You have to earn respect and you do that by playing well and winning games. Everything else is just talk and window dressing.
Besides; if all sports reporters did was to agree with everything their hometown team did, they wouldn't be a modern sports reporter. What else does a reporter do but offer opinions and their tremendous expertise (most have never played the game beyond High School if at all but of course they know more than the coach or GM)? Being negative is what generates interest. Being negative is easier. That's the 21st century world of news and journalism, sports or otherwise.
How about some impartial analysis by people like Meshawn? Goff played well on Saturday and these stumble bums painted a totally inaccurate and opposite picture from what people who were actually watching the game saw. How about giving the kid some credit for playing well?
