The Rams knew they needed to get better at the WR position and they just did. Yeah, it has some risk. But Watkins is an upper echalon talent who just needs to stay healthy. Do you take a chance on health with a 24 year old? Snead says, yes. You just can't get better by sitting on your hands.
I get this feeling that the Rams are about done spinning their wheels on the Donald thing. The offer is on the table. The offer is the offer. He might not take it, but he'll show up. And he'll play well. But it'll probably be on his current contract. The Rams have him for 4 years if they want him. Not a very strong position for AD. His only ace is "I won't be happy". Not good enough when we're talking big boy money.
AD is not going to decide the fate of this season or team. But he sure can make the Rams better.
