In today's NFL you need to make plays. There have been multiple moves this off season, but this Watkins one is the best by far.
Even if he never gets healthy, the attitude and atmosphere it creates to acquire a top playmaker of Watkins creates energy and excitement which equals a win.
The Rams go from the worst offense in the NFL from last season to an above average offense with this move.
Goff while appearing to be a wreck, now has a chance and the Rams will find out about him sooner versus later. If he can't perform now with no Robinson, and the additional of Watkins, and better coaching, you can move on faster to the next QB.
