sort out rookies
get the vets situated
couple of days in shells

pad up, suit up, and prep for contact

rest some veterans

do they go to 'thud' next?

field looks sort of worn already in spots
expecting some rain, too, over the next days; and heat wave conditions
would be lousy luck on bad footing to lose anyone

looking forward to later in the week when they settle in........
