The above is very convoluted for sure but the one thing I'm 100% certain of is barring injury Goff will start and be given every opportunity and then some to prove his worth.
Its Goff's team and he will be given everyshot to hold onto that and impress. Too bad for Mannion but he has Jeff Fisher and Les Snead to thank for that.
Orlovsky is more than just a camp arm. He's a legit NFL caliber back up QB and has proven so by his longevity in the league. BTW, Orlosvsky's arm and accuracy looks very good. Never seen him pass in person before but he has a good arm.

My bet? Orlovsky is the 3rd qb, a mentor figure, and not a camp arm. Both the Rams new personnel guy and LaFleur know him and have worked with him.
He is not a great qb or he would be a starter by now, but people like the way he is a kind of "2nd qb coach" for young starters.
On the other hand, people are hard on him for not playing well on day 1 of camp, but then, he has only been in the offense a few days.

Orlovsky knows what it is to be a pro and he has some game experience and he will be a valuable asset to both young QBs.
