And Snead puts a lot of value into 3rd round picks. I have to wonder how much of that pick was on Snead? Me thinks a decent amount. Cannot blame every bad pick on Fisher. Fisher seemed to be flexible as the rounds went on unless he had a specific target on his board. I am doubting Mannion was one of them.
I like to see that McVay is not feeling Mannion and I also don't think he`s sold on Goff yet. If Goff stinks it up this year, I hope Demoff gives him the green light to draft a QB if that's what he feels is necessary. McVay knows the position well enough to see if Goff is their long term answer after two seasons. He either has it or he doesn't. I don't think McVay wants to settle for a subpar QB he has to build heavily around to have a chance of winning.
