This team is NOT stacked with talent. Of course I love our players, but we have a ways to go before we're simply one Kirk Cousins or Sam Darnold away from being a contender.
Can you imagine selling the farm to get Goff, then 2 years later stripping away whatever assets you have left to get Darnold? Look at what the Bears had to give up just to move ONE SPOT in this year's draft- for
Mitch Trubisky nonetheless.
If we were dumb enough to do that, Darnold would just be walking into the same situation Bradford did many moons ago. Great talent, no infrastructure to support him.
We must be patient. Goff is basically a rookie, and he has plenty of talent. I can't believe so many people are ready to write him off so soon. Our damn society is obsessed with instant gratification...
