I agree with his sentiment that basically their offense begins or ends with the OL. To me the rest (Goff, Gurley, the WRs/TEs) are dominoes that will fall- one way or the other- based on how much the OL improves. I do believe an offensive scheme plays into it as well which should help.
Personally I think going from Robinson to Whitworth is the biggest single position upgrade in the entire NFL this offseason. If Sullivan can stay healthy I believe he'll be an upgrade over Barnes. I have confidence in Havenstein. Brown at RT and their depth are the question marks right now to me.
I, too, love the Whit signing, 93. And I also consider it among the biggest positive position "swings" in the league this offseason. It doesn't get the attention of the national pundits for some reason, but that's okay by me.
But we have to face it that LOT is still a big need as a short time replacement simply because of Whit's age. I see an early pick at that position next year. Maybe even a 1st, depending on BPA at our pick.
I see Whit as a 2 year "fix" if we're lucky. But I also see him as a HELLUVA 2 year fix. Lol.
