Stats aren't going to tell the whole story on Sam but you made a good arguement in your presentation.
The kicker is Dallas did in fact put him on their PS and waived him soon after.
He just wasn't strong enough or fast enough apparently he had some emotional issues too.

Downer subject to me. I was ok with him but he just wasn't good enough at this level.
Shane Ray and Kony Ealy may have helped him quite a bit at Missouri with the stats he got on that level also looking back.
