What to conclude from such a comment from an understated DC?
I suspect that he really, really likes what he's seen from Joyner and Mo Alexander at the two S positions, so far. Wouldn't that be something?
Perhaps he also likes the TruJo, Webster, NRC combo at CB, too?
When a DC of Wade's caliber makes a simple statement like the above, I think it speaks volumes.
Who knows? Might our secondary become a team strength to go along with our front seven?

Yet, I see signs of deterioration in the front seven. I think Quinn is at the end of the line, and Aaron Donald's contract situation is also troubling. If the Rams bungle the situation as they have done historically, then they will end up having to play games with the franchise tag to keep him on the team; that would that mean TruJo walks. And we don't even know who will be lining up on the edges of the DL.

Quinn's health is a question mark, true. But reports I've read are very positive. And Quinn is still young, so age is certainly not an issue.
AD's contract will get worked out, one way or another. Worst case scenario is that he's a Ram for 4 more seasons. Not a short term problem in my book.
TruJo is a goner after this year, it seems. But Wade can deal with it just fine, I'm betting. That $16.7 million saved will be handy for other needs, as well. We have a full complement of draft picks for next year and that future comp 3rd in '19 will be nice, too.
