Perhaps it's because I was watching the show fresh off of that Rich Eisen interview with McVay, and obviously hindsight is 20/20, but I found it impossible to take Fisher or Williams seriously for this exact reason.
I kept trying to picture Bill Belichick yelling at his players like that and I just couldn't do it.
It's like the best Fisher & Co. could offer was some sort of high school-level motivational tactics instead of acting like professionals and actually preparing for the games.
The scene where Fisher was diagramming the fake punt against the Bills was absolutely embarrassing. Go back and watch that scene, and then compare that to your mental image of McVay or Phillips. I really think we're dealing with a coaching staff that has an entirely different caliber of professionalism and tactical intelligence.
