The following is my take...
Contract extension for Tavon. Pretty sure that''s on Fisher.
Trade down with Bears in '12 costing us Bobby Wagner. Pretty sure that's on Snead.
Failed negotiation with JJ resulting from setting the ceiling too low. Pretty sure that's on Demoff (Move was no excuse).
All teams make their fair share of mistakes. Even the best of them. My examples here are just to illustrate that all 3 facets can and sometimes will make mistakes. And that those mistakes can be VERY costly. The trick is to minimize such mistakes.
That's fair.
My view is a slightly different though.
that I think the most questionable connection is Tavon to Fisher. That may have been more of a joint decision by all 3 of these nincompoops.
Snead ran amuck with his trade down philosophy and lost Wagner. That has been well documented. So we agree totally on that one.
No way Fisher was responsible for losing JJ. That was on Demoff and probably Snead to some degree as well, although I don't see Snead as a numbers guy at all. The guy can barely pronounce the word finance. So I mostly agree with you on this one.
Bottom line for me is that I blame Snead and Demoff for most of the recent personnel contract related blunders.
