The first paragraph I agree with entirely. Same thing I was trying to express, just said a little differently.

The second paragraph I don't think is true at all. Every thing done today HAS to be done with the future in mind. If you're at all good at your job, that is. They absolutely DO have to have moving on in mind now... doing what they can.. which doesn't been obsessing about it or over-reacting. I would go into shock if I learned they were considering this year with the attitude of "that can wait till next off season". The actual 'move' perhaps, but setting themselves up FOR the move should be on the agenda TODAY.

Well, as you know... while agreeing the factors last year regarding Goff's performance were many I don't, (I don't think), come very close to you in thinking "We just can't know"... especially if you include the coaches in the "We". - JamesJM
