IMHO you make the decision given the info you have at that time. New info afterwards doesn't factor in. Call it justification if you want, but it makes no sense to me to cry about spilled milk or 'what might have been.' GROB is gone for a 6th rounder and we move on!
You will note he wasn't advocating the Rams should have waited on the day of the trade. But the next day, when there's an injury on another team, suddenly the Rams should have waited one more day!
