First, I am happy that Torry gets a chance at coaching; he certainly has something to offer.
Secondly, I am concerned a bit about the timing and who hired him.
Torry spends time at the camp during the installs and in the coaching room with our players and coaches. He gets to spend time with the players talking on the field about everything that has been happening and now he is hired by Arians? Seriously.
The other divisional teams are always looking for any information they can gather on their opponents-- especially within the division.
Torry now has an opportunity and some might argue an obligation to tell all he knows to the Cards and Arians about the new offensive system and players the Rams have acquired. This for me is a real betrayal of trust and could very well be a reason many teams keep their formal players away from the sidelines and coaching rooms.
How much can Torry take with him? I don't know but I would at least be concerned and certainly feel a bit of betrayal.
Is the world going to fall down over this? No. But, it does feel like a violation of the Rams to me.
I wouldn't worry too much, FrRam.
First of all, it's just a mini camp temp gig at this point.
Second, the Cards (and every other team) already have a general idea what McVay and his coaches are intending to do, anyway. Moreover, they will have evidence in regular season game film that will be infinitely more useful to them. I doubt that Torry is even in a position to give the Cards any really sensitive or meaningful info in the first place.
