I have no problem at all with what Kap did. And I give him lots of credit for doing so. He is smart enough to know what might be the consequences given the ownership makeup of this league. Better to have taken a stand that will bring harm to yourself then to never stand up for anything you believe in out of fear. On issues like these I always admired Teddy Roosevelt who had these quotes:

\morally treasonable to the American public.” (you can substitute standing for the pledge of "allegiance" for the President)

"“It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed.”

I'm certainly not comparing the qb with Roosevelt but I always admire with great respect people who stand up for what they believe in fully aware of the consequences.That is the ultimate in patriotism.
