Slater echoed Tom Mack. Rams are NOW teaching technique and being detail oriented. Slater was nearly giddy about it (perhaps relieved is a better word).
Was quite clear that in the recent past (meaning Boudreau) it was not happening, or at least, it was not done well or was not the emphasis.
Teaching is development. Poor teaching or insufficient teaching holds back development. But there also has to be a plan. Young guys need to learn their assignments for sure, but technique is the foundation for everything they do. Simplified assignments but technically sound, with more complex assignments added into the mix over time, is how you develop.
