2016 offense was 2nd worst in franchise history

Just using ProFootballReference's Offensive SRS (Simple Rating System) the 2016 Rams offense was 2nd worst behind only the 2009 team. The others in their bottom five are 2007, 2008, and 2011. As bad as that 1998 offense was it's actually not (according to them) even one of their 10 worst.

Obviously, the Rams top 5 ever are listed as 1950, 2000, 2001, 1951 and 1999.
