I do tend to agree with you however.. but my reasoning is more 'biased', if you will.

This talk about TE's'... I am skeptical. That is.. making them a major part of the offensive strategy. IF SO... I think that would bring Gurley much more into play. I'm not sure McVay is literally trying to emulate Washington. I think in Washington he had 'bigger' plans, if you will, and now we'll see.
