Overdue doesn't fit. The idea that after raising the performance level of every team he coaches that he's "overdue" for failure? This isn't about odds; it's about proficiency.
Wade is just at the top of his game, knows exactly what to do with good players.
He knows what we all know; the Rams have very good defensive players. Even the least of the D starters are pretty good players.
And we have some guys with star quality: Donald, Quinn (if healthy), Ogletree, and TruJ come to mind.
And we have guys who are just below star quality: Barron, Brockers, and even Barwin.
And the rest are solid starter quality.
And pretty decent depth to boot.
Wade is going to have a field day getting these guys to play his controlled aggression style. The problem with GWs style was that it was UNcontrolled aggression that was prone to mistakes and stupid penalties. It didn't help that there had to be frustration among the D knowing that they could expect no help from the other side of the ball.
