Re: Tavon Austin’s absence gives Rams’ other receivers a chance to shine

Yeah, opportunity is knocking loudly for the entire WR corps during Tavon's absence.

BTW, is it knocking just a bit more loudly for Cooper and Spruce?

I mean, if either can really impress in the slot, really impress, wouldn't that make the other outside WR competition even more intense? Kupp, Reynolds, Thomas, and ???

It would then be conceivable that when Tavon returns he might find himself a man with no position. That's heresy to some, I know, but still...

My advice as we approach camp and PS with this new coaching staff? Don't fall in love with any WR. None of them. The starters are not written in stone yet, much less the final 6.

This staff will keep the best 6 and start the best 2-3, regardless of draft position or contract. For the first time in a long time it feels like the adults are in charge of the O.

Receivers best know their playbooks backward and forward AND be in tip top condition.

Gonna be a whole lotta sorting goin' on this summer. Can't wait for the camp reports.
