......"Reach" ...."Mistake"...."Over-Drafted".

He was the most criticized Rams pick of that draft by Rams fans.....as I remember it.

Another victim of the foolish labeling that goes on so often around the draft.....the same labeling that people get amnesia about a few years later.

I supported both. Was actually pretty high on the Robinson choice, and thought the Rams had gone for the gold there. A huge, elite tackle in college, with major upside. I was happy about. GRob, so far, hasn't panned out. So be it.

We've had these arguments for centuries, but I don't see fan discussions of draft picks as "foolish." It's a part of being a fan. I do, however, find the constant scolding surrounding those discussions as foolish. Just let them be. It's no skin off your teeth what anyone says here. Let it go.

I think you missed RamBill's point, Billy.

It was the general labeling of a pick or an entire draft immediately afterward as being foolish, I think. And it IS foolish if taken too seriously.

OTOH, discussions of different opinions are the lifeblood of a message board. Without them we would be reduced to endless "me too" posts. Very, very boring.

Bring on them differences of opinion, I say! Lol.

It's just people talking on a football board. Is it any less "foolish" to endlessly claim the Rams automatically know better than we do, or the scouts, etc. we cite? Cuz, judging from their track record, they don't. If it's foolish to "label" a pick as X, it's foolish to label the decision above reproach because the Rams made it.

Best to leave accusations of "foolish" out of the conversation altogether.
