The qb was not a 2nd year guy. In fact Warner was an undrafted FA in Green Bay in 94. Since then he had played in the arena league, done some college coaching, and played in NFL europe. He made the Rams in 98 and so 99 was his 3rd training camp. The time from 94 to 99 was 6 years. He wasn't a 2nd year youngster at that point.

I would never say never to this, but, I would say "not likely." .

There were definite differences...and pointing out that Coach Vermeil was in his 3rd year is huge. Going into the season the talent at QB was far better interms of Green. But then he gets hurt and an unknown QB enters. My memory is bad but I don't think there were many if any who really thought the RAMS could have a good year with Kurt.

I don't think Kurt really plays a difference going into the season like Green did. So with that Jared is an NFL unknown going into this season similar to Kurt in '99'.

While Kurt had training camp experience and Arena and NFL Europe to fall back on, Jared just has last year. So yeah '99' had more going for it.

Do I think we are going to the playoffs this year......naw, but it is cool to have that hope and out look.
