Woods, Austin, Kupp and Reynolds are pretty much locks I would imagine, so.......who else survives???
Looks like
(Most likely to least likely)
Cooper
Thomas
Spruce
Marquez
North
McRoberts
Shippen
Fighting for two spots???
Short answer? I dunno.
McVay clearly values good hands in his WR's and TE's. Quick and Kendricks are gone, after all. Britt had his hands issues at times, too.
All the new picks have good to very good hands, as well, so I think it's a very high priority with McVay.
Therefore, Thomas could be in danger of not making the 53, ST or no ST play.
I love Spruce, but the slot position is now loaded. He might be a victim of the old numbers game.
Cooper not only has to stay healthy, but he must impress the heck out of his coaches. He is reportedly football smart, so I think he should be able to adapt to the new playbook and schemes. I would give him a slight advantage over the others for that 5th spot. But it's ever so slight, man.
Ultimately, it's gonna be a donnybrook for those last 2 spots. One or more of the reserves must step up and claim a roster spot. Impossible to handicap until camp begins.
