Now, we have no idea which of these players will pan out etc, and personally I'd have liked them to stay put and take Lamp at 37. But regardless...
There's a vision about this draft - a plan. And that wasn't there in Fisher drafts.
The moment this draft clicked was taking Josh Reynolds in the 4th. If they'd just taken Kupp as the lone WR I'd have been disappointed, but plainly they're trying to fill certain hols here: the H-back Jordan Reed type, the slot guy, the deep threat.
Compare that to last year and Pharoah Cooper being drafted but then the coaching staff seeming to have no idea how to use such a player. Taking Mannion in the 3rd when they seemed to have no plan to start him ever, endless running backs etc.
Same for the pass rushers who fit Wade Phillips' scheme. A rangy FS.
Now, these players could easily bust, we'll see, but this seems like the most coherent draft in a whole for the Rams.
