I don't think Jenkins was a great pick

They invested a heck of a lot in that guy and had to effectively babysit him to keep him out of trouble. He was flat out bad to start, frustrating in the middle and then gave them a good season and then they had to decide whether to break the bank to keep him or not. Not a good spot to be in. And that's the risk with such high risk players to begin with. By the time you do get them developed and useful, they're ready to leave and/or become very expensive. The overall value is poor.
