You know, I don't know that much about the players our Rams drafted. I am so glad not to be Mel Kiper. Though I would probably like his paycheck. But, I have read everything about these young men our horns drafted and I don't see all the doom and gloom. Predraft I read from most posters that we needed a good Pass catching TE. We got one. WRs... who could actually catch the ball. We got two. A CB it FS...we drafted a guy who can do both. More edge rushing for our new 3-4 scheme...got two of those. Some wanted us to upgrade our running game so we drafted a FB. Some were worried about DT depth behind AD...we got his clone.
McVay explained he was happy with our new seating OL. He also said that our OC position could be handled by an OG. We have plenty of guards. So, I'm confused by all the bellyaching about rankings, reaching, who was available whens and such. We drafted for need adding talent to fill perceived holes.
It's what most here we're calling for. And I was on the other side crying for BPA at every pick. However, I do get a new regime trying to just add his type players for his schemes while trying to retool his existing talent. Not every player will adjust. Those that can't will go. Hopefully most can adjust and we'll become a winner fast. If they can't then it's really another rebuild.
