The grabbed the Outside LB's which is probably the biggest personnel shift you would make going from 4-3 to a 3-4. Also got a DT who can play the NT spot in the 3-4.
Seem as though the DB mentality will be changing too. Gone are the days of the hard-hitting (for extra effect) DB's (a la McDonald)......and say hello to ball hawking coverage DB's. I think this defense is going to play right into Lamarcus Joyner's style. He was an outcast in the wrong defense with Fisher and Williams. He will be one happy pup in Phillip's defense. He is a good bet for most-improved player this year.
