In: Woods, Austin, Kupp, Reynolds
Woods is in for sure because he is a highly paid McVay pickup.
Austin is in because he may be the player McVay has talked about the most. He's talked about his explosiveness and how you have to game plan for him. If Austin wasn't on solid footing they would have released him like Kendricks. Also they lose $5 mil. on the cap by releasing him.
Kupp and Reynolds are in because they are McVay draft picks. New coach, new scheme, new player profile. Kupp is the new slot guru and maybe some outside stuff. In recent weeks, McVay hasn't shut up about needing someone to take the top off the defense for his scheme to work. Reynolds was brought in specifically for that purpose.
On the bubble: Everyone else.
New player profile is why all of the old receivers are therefore on the bubble. I mentioned a month ago that we would probably see a bunch of new WRs for that very reason.
Cooper was a 4th round pick but he fit Fisher's player profile. He may lack the athleticism and agility for McVay.
All the rest of the guys on your list under Cooper are just filler. They're all late round draftees or UDFAs. Pick one or two who will rise and there's your WR squad.
