The draft is drifting away from what made it interesting

Is it curmudgeonly to just want to have the picks made quickly with plenty of analysis after?

I don't like the ex-players walking up and delivering speeches. Picks from space? Grand canyon? It feels full of a lot of cheap theatrics this year. Half of yesterday was watching made picks pile up while they shuffled a parade of people up to announce them. It's like they are hurting the quality of the package to make it more entertaining for those who won't watch it anyway.
