Is there any evidence of his actions/character before and after this event?

April 22, 2017 02:05AM
Was this a one-off, losing control, event of a very young immature boy?
Or is this but one of many poor behaviors/decisions in his young life? I have no idea. I haven't heard anything about any other incident or his character in general.
Certainly not defending him. Because if this is a pattern, then he should certainly not be on anyone's draft board. But if this was out of character, and he has owned up to it and faced and shown no propensity to do it again, I see no reason to deny him employment as a professional athlete.

I have watched many debates on this board about Leonard Little who killed people in a DUI accident, and on Gordon who can't stay away from the Weed long enough to play football, both be offered forgiveness and a return to professional football. So why not a guy who punches a girl who got physical with him, who expresses accountability and remorse, and even the girl saying it was mutual and now it is time to move on?

I'll tell you why. Political correctness and fear of bad PR.
Don't worry; it is a moot point for the Rams. They know they moved to the political correctness and PR capital of the world. Mixon won't be on their board.

The thing that worries me the most, is that he was sober

You can bet that the "meeting and apology accepted" were part of the civil suit settlement
