Instead of 2 hi picks, you're getting 1. More eggs in one basket. And this team needs more picks; not fewer.
And....my point was that the entire thrust of the article was based on Goff being a mistake. So if that is the assumption, it is completely illogical to trade an opportunity at another QB taken high next year, for a TE now.
And, if Goff is NOT the bust they think he is(and I feel like you do about it), then it is STILL not wise to spend that kind of draft capital for a TE. No one I have ever read says that Howard is a game changing TE. Or a surefire HOFer. He's the best of a pretty good bunch of TEs this year but in no way in Gronk's class.
