I'm not familiar with this particular QB/WR combo... but in other cases where I've seen the QB issue in relationship to a WR's poor showing it's usually the bulk of the QB's issues to include mechanics, ability to mentally process game plans - defenses, et al.
And the WRs are talented. I agree with Dead and others, the WRs got screwed. Unfortunately for me, they were screwed enough that I wouldn't take them. Fair? Probably not, but life isn't fair.
