There must be a reason Engram is a TE. He may not have fluidity or precision in his routes or ??? It would be much easier for a college WR to convert to TE than the other way around. If the Rams coaches believe he's good enough to play WR, they can still use him at TE and give him a more conventional "WR" route tree to create mismatches for opposing defenses. Draft him as a TE and then figure out ways to utilize his strengths.
Doubt they make him a true WR..he's a matchup nightmare in the TE position and will have better success front that spot. I'm sure McVey will know exactly how to use him.
