Chance Allen - Houston
A transfer from Oregon. Has good size at 215 @ 6'-2". Hands catcher that will pluck the ball. Occasionally lets the the ball get to his chest. Plus body control and also does a nice job of highpointing. Got deep in Houstons offense, but not exactly a take the top off a defense WR. Strong WR, but little wiggle in the open field. Needs work on route running, but he gets open. I will be curious to see how he runs.
Josh Malone - another 6-3" 205 lb WR that could have used some better QB play. Decent route runner with good hands. Can get pushed off his route, so he needs to get stronger. Does a nice job of going up and making a catch, but struggles with contested catches. Needs to be more aggressive.
On a side note, Jauan Jennings from Tenn, is going into his junior year as a converted QB. He has some size and athletic ability. Plays with some swagger and looks like a natural at the WR position.
Malachi Dupre - 6'-2" 196 with a 4.52 40. Awful QB play makes him a tough eval. so maybe thats why no one talks about him. What are you going to say? He was a 5 star recruit with good size. plus body control and plus route running. Has a nice catch radius and can make the wow catch. Needs to work on strength and has the occasional drop. Raw.
No rush, appreciate the input.
I like Chance Allen, not much I can add except that his blocking stood out. Willingness to be physical makes him a possibility on special teams and tough to cut.
Josh Malone always left me wondering why he wasn't better...if that makes sense? Is Jauan Jennings #15? If so, he stood out when Malone made me wonder.
I just don't know on the LSU receivers. We talked about it before
