We're talking about a low round draft pick for Gordon compensation. A 5th, possibly as low as a 7th, for cryin' out loud.
If they like the results of the background check, why not go for it? Low risk, potential extremely high reward. The Rams have taken many a greater risk for far less potential rewards, as you well know.
When sober, he's an elite talent. Nobody disputes that.
