Round 2
37. Los Angeles Rams: Dan Feeney, G, Indiana
The Rams need to add lots of talent to help develop Jared Goof, which seems like a problem because they don't have a first-round pick. They could address every position outside of running back, and I don't think the Rams need any neighborly advice telling them that they need to bolster the interior of their offensive line.
I love Feeney, but I think Tak McKinley, Jordan Willis, Kevin King, Quincy Wilson and Teez Tabor would be hard to pass up.
Round 3
69. Los Angeles Rams: Chris Godwin, WR, Penn State
The Rams overpaid for Robert Woods, but hopefully that doesn't mean they'll select a terrible receiver in the 2017 NFL Draft.
He makes a ton of sense because he's a good route runner with decent size. Budda Baker, Chidobe Awuzie, Derek Rivers, Dupree and Kupp also make a ton of sense. If you could get Shaheen in the 3rd like this mock does, you would be nuts to pass on him IMO..
Pick change; previously Carlos Henderson, WR
Round 4
112. Los Angeles Rams: Daeshon Hall, DE, Texas A&M
The Rams dealt William Hayes and cut Eugene Sims this offseason, so defensive end depth is needed.
Daeshon Hall is 4-3 DE so this pick is wasted IMO. Carl Lawson make a heck of a lot more sense, but I have serious doubts Lawson lasts until the 4th. Jonnu Smith makes a lot of sense too.
141. Los Angeles Rams: Will Holden, OT, Vanderbilt
The Rams signed Andrew Whitworth, but he's obviously a short-term solution at left tackle because he's 35.
Again, ignore OTs in this draft, especially late, Beigel and Beckwith make more sense at LBer. Get a safety here as well.
Round 5
149. Los Angeles Rams: Pat Elflein, C/G, Ohio State
Another offensive line upgrade is hardly a surprise, as the Rams' blocking has been terrible in recent years. They've made it known that they've been looking for a new center.
If he fits what McVay wants from his center excellent pick. IDK what McVay wants, but I love Elfein.
Me: Not bad, but I'd like to switch out our first pick with a Tre'Davious White or other top CB and it'd be great!!!
