As to the cost of a move, going from round 2 into round 1 often means giving up a significant pick. Rams want a round 2 pick for Trumaine, which ranges on the
draft value chart down to 270 at the end of the round. If you consider letting him walk next year results in a round 3 compensation pick, that would be somewhere in the 200s in terms of value.
Obviously the Rams would be looking for a later round pick back to equal out value they agree on, but I am just saying that is the only way I see them trading him and even that is a longshot. No team is going to give them a round 2 pick in this particular draft for Trumaine when he's asking for elite money.
