i think the point is that ONE of the guards could potentially be moved to center. it could be wichman or anyone else. the bigger problem is if they will be any good at any position. i was very optimistic (maybe even confident) that our line would be good going into last season. Now im not so sure. im really hoping that boras and the offensive staff just werent very good rather than the players.
It matters to have an accurate record.
Recently McVay did say they would cross-train the guards to play center, and maybe they have a future center there. Ironically, it could be Wichmann.
As far as just being a guard goes, Wichmann seems to be a favorite. I don't know why. My view is that he was just flat bad last year. Like, there's some doubt as to whether he can play in the league level bad. Donnal, who in 2015 I initially thought didn't have much, has surpassed him, and at the same time Wichmann has just plain regressed.
