You mentioned it, but I’d like to emphasize that Easley was surprisingly good against the run last year. He was every bit as good as the traditional run-first 3-4 DE.
And I agree, LOLB is where the need is. I hope they go draft not Chris Long.
I could be wrong obviously but Easley does not strike me as being a 3/4 DE. I see him as backing up and rotating with Donald at 3-tech, and coming in at DT when they are in a 4-man rush line in pass defense packages.
Denver's DE's were taller, as physical types. As a rough rule 3/4 DEs usually are taller than Easley, who is listed at 6.2.

Well Wade is an untraditional DC. He’s similar to GW in that sense. And he’s all about pressuring the QB. Easley has been awesome at generating pressure. If he plays the run well – which he did, then I see Wade wanting him on the field as much as possible.
Wade has always shown a willingness to throw out all of the rough rules of a 3/4. We’ll see but I suspect that happens here.
