I agree. And overall I think Boudreau coached well through 2015. Havenstein, Wichmann and Brown all played well as rookies. Havenstein was All-Rookie. He squeezed as much out of Barnes as he could in 2015.
Robinson and Battle were just misses. Plain and simple. I never liked the Donnal pick and have doubts he makes the team this year.
The OL was horrendous last year and like others said I think it was a lot of factors. One being the scheme and how passive and predicable it was plus the lack of passing game threats. Why Barnes, Havenstein, Wichmann and Brown didn't progress is unknown. In Havenstein's case I think him missing all of OTAs and camp/preseason hurt his development. I do think late in the year after the Dolphins and Saints games much of the team quit on Fisher.
I've always felt you start improving your roster by replacing the bottom 3 players out of your starting 22. And to me Robinson and Barnes are two of those three. Though I would keep Barnes as the backup center/interior OL.
