Re: stat #1 & quote

stat:
Behind the Rams' offensive line in 2016, Gurley averaged 3.18 rushing yards per carry, the second-worst rate in the NFL, and Goff was sacked an NFL-leading 25 times over his last six games

as noted when it comes to the run, some of it on the OL; some on the "back climber" Todd.
I feel more concerned about the top pick Todd, than the OL in this scenario. perhaps my higher expectations for him to make his holes, and make positive things happen in negative circumstances was absurd. Even more than Jared, I feel we will know the truth about Todd's future within half a season this fall.

"We all know that the whole line has to improve," Kromer said. "We all see that, and you see that on tape. But individually, I see skills, we see skills, in these guys, that if we can pull them together, and get them working together, which we see is possible, that we can get the group much better. It's just going to be a process. I don't know how long that process is going to take. Is it going to take a month, is it going to take a year, is it going to take two years? I don’t know that, and I don't know if we need to add somebody yet. I can’t answer that yet. But I do see individual skills in each one of these guys that should allow them to have success."

"we" see skills. I have to think that he's deferring to his head coach, or the OC. the terrible remark for me is that their in the "process." They recognize they can't get it all done in an offseason, or even another offseason perhaps. Aaron sees the guys as not working together. And it's dang hard to assess until you gather them back up in OTA type environs.

But the give away clause is, "add somebody, yet." The guys on this board are exceedingly wise, and to fault we see the need to improve our center. I think we need a guard; cheaper method in free agency, and defends against Saffold going down. They aren't solving issues at LT this season. But adding some one is essential, and by his own admission the group is very young. Which sells free agency when it comes to any spot but center. No one wants to see rookie hiccups.

What is Sean, Matt, and Aaron doing for a run scheme? Just making teams regret not covering Todd would be terrific. Long way to September, but for sure Aaron better size this situation up within a week and half because free agency is storming down us.
