In terms of in the classroom. In the positional meeting room. On the practice field. Sideline leadership. All the between-the-ears, techy-mechanical stuff I seriously doubt he got last year.
Now comes the next hurdle - overhauling that sad group of pass-catchers he was saddled with.
Depending on how the Rams' approach this ... that could take longer.
Of course, a couple of key veteran additions - perhaps Pierre Garcon and Desean Jackson - would be a really nice start. I know Jackson would be a gamble on several levels ... and I doubt they could afford them both ... but an either/or addition would signal something to the quarterback and the team's fans about a dedication to improving the worst offense in football.
As I have said ... if Goff gets the coaching and teaching I believe he went without last year ... and gets the players around him he needs to be successful ... he will have no excuses. And neither will his supporters. Of which I am one.
