They have a big, physical receiver in Jones. Those types of physical specimens are rare; it's why the Falcons gave up an entire draft to get him. In the case of Jones, it was entirely justified.
Now, compare that scenario with what the Rams did with Tavon Austin, a small football player who can't get off the line of scrimmage, can't run routes, and can't catch the ball condistently. I think it's indicative of the way that the Rams evaluate talent, and also the main reason that a lot of people dislike Tavon.
Had TA fallen to the Rams at their original draft position, I think the failure would be more easy to accept; he'd simply be a wasted draft pick.
