That's a losing argument

It is self evident the Broncos were/are very high on Joseph. Say they love him, call it whatever you like.

The fundamental flaw in it is that it fails to address WHY they didn't "love" Shanahan like they do Joseph. There are reasons they knew it was no competition between Joseph and Shanahan and unless you're attempting to argue those reason were about the cut of his jib rather than winning championships, that argument is DOA.
