Personally I would have done the hiring in reverse , meaning going with the experienced HC and an innovative OC (be it an old or Young one) but given the names out there this Looks to be a very good combination too.
Lets hope this will pan out well for the Rams .
Looking at the work WP has done so far in his Career and most recently in Denver we will have an even better D next Season then under GW.
The preferred 3-4 run by WP is no concern to me.
As Blue and Gold has pointed out in his great postings below the 3-4 he runs is much more a modified and game Situation based adjusted 4-3.
We might Need to bring in a couple of Players on the defensive side but I am sure WP will field a very good D eventually.
Key to success will be what the new rookie HC can do with Goff in particular and the O in General.
If he can get them up from the dungeons of the NFL to middle of the pack there is a lot of reason for optimism.
