But the X's and O's? Shanahan with McVay a very close 2nd.
Welp reading that 43 I must not be bringing it strong enough
IF in the X's and O's department you have McVay a close 2nd.McVay's offense well Grudens offense is basic.
McDaniels runs a much more diverse offense than McVay.
What about X's and O's do you like about McVay?
I may have phrased that poorly, la.
This decision has so many moving parts. Way beyond their respective OC qualifications, I mean.
Shanny was very successful at 3 different locations. That's huge.
Shanny has more years of experience.
Sooooo... That kinda begs the question, "Why hasn't he already been given a shot"? Corollary question, "What do other GM types know about Shanny that I don't"?
McVay is SO danged young. That could be huge.
But he's been impressing a lot of people for 8-9 years, at that.
SM is noted for attention to the smallest of details and getting his players very well prepped for each opponent. Something that has been lacking around these parts for years.
SM is also known for being very personable. Able to relate with players, coaches, FO execs, and fans. Not hearing that about Shanny so much.
All I'm saying comes down to two things, I guess.
1) Either of Shanny or McVay would be light years ahead of what we've had since Martz.
2) This isn't a strictly black and white decision. There are pros and cons for either choice, imo.
